As part of a surfboard making workshop, I worked with Ziran to create a new board aimed at being more sustainable and longer lasting. Based on one of my favourite shapes, the board is designed to be versatile in a range of conditions and accommodate a thruster and quad set up.

The board is made using a polyola blank. These are 100% recyclable at the end of the surfboards life, but also during the manufacturing and shaping process. This means that any waste material can be used to make a new board and the foam is made from 2 / 3 recycled content. It is also designed to be harder wearing and is not as susceptible to dings as much as other poly urethane blanks.
